Early Intervention
Early intervention in West London
A nursery and an early intervention centre in one, in Southall on the Ealing border.

The Nurture Nest is at 5 William Close, Southall UB2 4UP, in the London Borough of Ealing. We are an Ofsted-registered early years setting (URN 2871628) run by three local SEND specialists, with a 1 adult to 3 children ratio, a purpose-built sensory room and therapies embedded into every day.
The Nurture Nest specialises in supporting children with emerging special needs, social communication delays and behavioural differences through a therapeutic, holistic and play-based approach. Between birth and five a child’s brain has the greatest ability to form new connections, so the right support at two can change what school looks like at five.
Our programmes combine education and therapy to promote progress in communication, emotional regulation, social skills, sensory processing and independence.

Working with the professionals around your child
We follow the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and the Equality Act (2010), use the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle for every child, open an Early Help Assessment where appropriate and liaise with health visitors, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, paediatricians and Ealing’s SEND and Inclusion Team. Where needed we support families through EHCP applications and specialist referrals.
What parents say
5.0★★★★★Google · 2 reviewsWe honestly couldn't be more impressed with this nursery. It's so refreshing to see a setting that is SEN-focused while being genuinely inclusive and welcoming to every child. It feels like they've created an environment where every child is seen as an individual and their needs are understood and supported. The nursery is exceptionally clean, bright and welcoming, with so much thought put into the imaginative play and activities. What really stands out is the level of one-to-one attention they give to each child.
The facilities at the nurture nest are outstanding! I have been coming to the stay and play for around 6 months with my 2 year old as I was slightly concerned that he was delayed in his speech.
Questions parents ask
Who is early intervention for?
Any child from 9 months whose parents, health visitor or nursery have noticed differences in speech, play, attention, sensory responses or behaviour, as well as children with a diagnosis such as autism, global developmental delay or Down’s syndrome. You do not need a referral or a diagnosis to come to us.
How is this different from a mainstream nursery with a SENCO?
Ratio and expertise. We keep 1 adult to 3 children at every age, every practitioner is SEND-trained, the environment is built for regulation, and therapy principles run through the whole day rather than a weekly visit.
Can my child still move on to a mainstream school?
That is the aim for many of our children. Individual programmes focus on the communication, independence and self-regulation skills that make the transition to reception, mainstream or specialist, a success, and we work with the receiving school.
Which areas do you cover?
We are in Southall UB2 and families travel from Hanwell, Ealing, Greenford, Northolt, Hayes, Norwood Green, Heston, Hounslow and Acton.
